PART 2
Unlike the last 2 comps I participated in this year, I came to this comp quite pumped and self confident because my training was going very well and felt strong both mentally and physically. The first 2 days went 100% according to plan and were as easy as a breeze, and they were only supposed to be my warm up dives.
Then the next 3 days were cursed: current, bad weather, delays, cancellations, lack of sleep, so what was supposed to be an easy 91m bifins dive became harder and harder on my mind and I lost drive and self confidence.
So I gave in and announced a shallower depth for today, 88 meters. Even though I knew I wasn’t gonna be happy with anything less than 90, i also wanted to have a white card dive and nobody knew how the weather was going to be like today. I did my dive and it was ok, the conditions were actually perfect, but now I’m over it and I don’t want to do bifins again tomorrow so I’ll try a deeper free immersion instead, and I’ll have to wait for the next season to do the numbers I had in mind.
Life’s life, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes you learn, sometimes you are just unlucky 🤷♂️.
