Despite freediving and competing for over 20 years, I only started coaching freedivers a few years ago. Even though coaching is not my main job, I dabble on it with pleasure and only for a few people because I am fascinated by what makes freedivers tick: what motivates them, what makes them progress, what obstacles they stumbles on, what helps them overcome them. How do different people respond to stress, both physical and mental, how they respond to training and which kind of training work for some and not for others. I thoroughly enjoy watching and directing this dance unfolding in front of my eyes and witness all the various stages that freedivers naturally go through. I coached people with different background and performance level, but my favourite range is 50-90 meters depth and 125-200m dynamic. Are you somewhere in that bracket and are serious about progressing and understand more about yourself and your training? I will pick your brain, constantly analyse you, and experiment on you: so if you arent ready to be picked apart and all you want is a training plan I may not be the best fit for you.
I won’t send you a pre-made plan and I’ll tailor made all your training. I will also not ask you to commit for a minimum amount of time: if it turns out we do not like each other, we should not feel stuck with each other and we both must be free to go our separate ways!
